Cangyin is the 6th Envoy of Samsara and was formerly the matriarch of the Water Qilins. She used to be one of the most powerful existences in the ancient immortal world but due to the white haired monsters that used a time related ability on her she regressed into an egg. As a water qilin, she boasts a talent for water equivalent to that of a Black Tortoise.

When Cangyin met Lu Yun she was a egg that died before it hatched. Lu Yun used his revival art but unfortunately she woke up with fractured memories and a much lower cultivation then her previous self. Luckily she was able to tell Lu Yun about the upper realms of cultivation and how she died letting Lu Yun know that there were realms above the Origin Dao Realm and were most likely guarded by the white haired monsters like the black haired monsters guarding the void realm.
She later became a Blood Qilin, which improved her talent and powers with the help of Xingzi.[1]
